The DIS Hallowell C-V2.0 (datasheet version 2.1) is a very low power, water resistant, tracking sensor with LTE Cat M1 and NB-IoT connectivity. Due to its unique algorithm it has a lifetime of over 10 years on the same batteries.

The Hallowell C-V2.0 extends its capabilities across 25 or more countries, leveraging the LTE-M/NB-IoT network for widespread coverage. This ensures a reliable and expansive reach, allowing seamless connectivity in diverse geographical regions.
Tamper detection
The Hallowell C-V2.0 employs an innovative interruption system triggered by the loss of magnetism. This ensures swift transitions to recovery mode, enhancing the device’s responsiveness and adaptability in critical situations.
Battery

The Hallowell C-V2.0 excels in extreme weather conditions, guaranteeing reliable performance. With an impressive 10-year battery life, this device can send up to six messages per day, ensuring prolonged operational efficiency in challenging environments.

Dust and waterproof

Featuring an IP67 rating, the Hallowell C-V2.0 is dustproof and waterproof, capable of withstanding immersion in up to one meter of water for 30 minutes. Its robust design ensures reliable performance in challenging environments, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.

Accurate position
The Hallowell C-V2.0 leverages a powerful combination of location-based services (LBS) utilizing both cellular and WiFi networks, seamlessly integrated with global positioning system (GPS) technology. Security measures

Robust security protocols are incorporated into the
Hallowell C-V2.0 and its firmware, safeguarding your telematics data. Data transmission uses 128-bit ECDH encryption, and memory-safe programming practices are employed to protect against potential threats. 

Optional Buzzer

The Hallowell C-V2.0 offers the flexibility of an optional 85dB buzzer, allowing users to tailor the alert system based on their specific needs and preferences.

Optional Gateway

BASELINE FUNCTIONALITY

The DIS Hallowell C-V2.0 is designed to operate primarily in a deep sleep mode to conserve battery life. It wakes up from this sleep state for several reasons, ensuring efficient tracking and reporting:
The Hallowell C-V2.0 reports at regular intervals known as the “heartbeat interval.” This interval is configurable, allowing you to set how often the device sends status updates to the server. It ensures you receive periodic updates on the device’s status.
If the tamper sensor is active, the device wakes up to report this event. Tampering could involve unauthorized access or removal of the device from its mounted position. Reporting tamper events helps in enhancing the security of your assets.
The Hallowell C-V2.0 also wakes up when it detects movement. The definition of movement is highly configurable and can be adjusted based on parameters such as G-force, the number of movement samples, and movement time. This flexibility allows you to tailor the device’s behavior to specific tracking scenarios.
Conversely, the device reports when it stops moving. Similar to movement detection, the definition of a stop movement event is configurable, typically based on a specified period of no movement. This feature is useful for tracking assets that should remain stationary and alerting you if they are moved.

CONFIGURABLE ITEMS

Define the frequency at which the device sends periodic status updates to the server (heartbeat intervals). This is crucial for monitoring the device’s normal operation.

Effortlessly enable or disable GPS scanning to meet your tracking needs. Tailor the scan duration for accurate GPS data retrieval when required.

Choose whether to enable or disable WiFi scanning, which can assist in location tracking.

Specify the active time for Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) scanning, used for asset location within a certain range.

Set the duration for which the device’s buzzer generates audible alerts when needed.

Configure the URL or IP address of the server to which the device reports its data.

Specify the port on the server for communication.

Define the G-force threshold that triggers a movement event, allowing you to adjust sensitivity to movement.

Personalize your motion detection: set the stop movement trigger time and define the time interval and sample count for accurate movement classification.
